April is a British Ethical & Fair trade Designer/Maker of Contemporary Jewellery, living on the North Coast of Devon. Her Jewellery is bold and energetic using line, form and colour, every piece is hand made giving each creation an individuality of its own.

ethical wedding ringsHer new collections of Ethical Engagement Rings, Ethical Wedding Rings and Ethical Eternity Rings are made with 18ct Ethical white/yellow gold. The metal is sourced from co-operative mines working with ARM (Association for Responsible Mining). Who work in a socially and environmentally responsible way, with a premium going to help miners and their communities. This enables them to reach Fair Trade Standards within Fair trade guidelines in the production of the gold. No toxic chemicals such as cyanide and mercury are used in the cleaning process keeping the biodiversity of habitats intact.

The diamonds she uses are at present sourced from Canada, keeping the supply chain socially & environmentally transparent, so the diamonds can be traced to the origin of mine, cutting centre and labour practices, part of the profit from the diamonds gets pumped back into the jeweltree foundation to support fair trade initiatives.

The ring, which reflects love and commitment is also socially and environmentally empowering.

April also uses ebony from recycled musical instruments, lamp worked glass from mango beads and laboratory created stones she is working towards using 100% recycled silver wherever possible.

April works to commission and your very own bespoke designs. You can discuss designs or acquire one of her pieces by visiting her by appointment, by phone or simply by email, see her contact page for more information.
